The Department of Cooperative Governance is looking for an experienced and visionary leader to fill a high-paying senior government vacancy as Chief Director: Community Work Programme (CWP) Implementation.

Lead Community Development Across Three Provinces
This powerful leadership role will oversee the implementation of the Community Work Programme across the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, and Northern Cape. The department is searching for someone who can drive impact, strengthen partnerships, and help communities benefit from sustainable development initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and implementing the Community Work Programme
- Monitoring contracts and ensuring compliance
- Coordinating provincial and local stakeholder structures
- Building strategic partnerships to improve programme delivery
- Overseeing reporting systems and work opportunities
- Ensuring effective implementation of policies and standards
Who Should Apply?
To qualify for this senior management opportunity, applicants must have:
- An NQF Level 7 qualification in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field recognised by SAQA
- At least five years of senior management experience
- A valid driver’s licence
- Microsoft Word proficiency
- Completion of the Nyukela Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme before appointment
Knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Project will be an added advantage.
