What the dtic Is Looking For
The department is seeking a highly capable leader with:
- An NQF Level 7 qualification in Economics, Commerce, or a related SAQA-recognised field
- At least five years of middle or senior management experience within the public sector economic environment
Ideal candidates will bring expertise in:
- Investment promotion and investor relations
- Programme and project management
- Incentive administration
- Stakeholder engagement and partnership building
- Financial and budget management
- Research, reporting, and strategic analysis
Experience using CRM or MIS systems for investor tracking will be an added advantage.
Your Key Impact Areas
Drive Strategic Partnerships
Collaborate with government departments, development finance institutions, industry associations, and private sector stakeholders to strengthen investment support systems.
Champion Investment Promotion
Lead investment marketing campaigns, investor engagements, and strategic investment missions aimed at attracting and expanding business opportunities.
Support Business Growth
Provide advisory support to businesses seeking access to incentive schemes and assist with compliance, governance, and funding processes.
Influence Policy and Programme Improvement
Oversee research and performance analysis that helps improve the effectiveness and impact of investment and incentive programmes.
Lead Directorate Operations
Manage strategic planning, financial oversight, risk management, and human resource functions within the directorate.
