Director: Employment Relations

The Department is seeking a skilled and experienced professional for a one-year contract position in the Northern Cape, with a salary package worth more than R1.2 million per year.

To qualify, applicants must have:
✅ Grade 12
✅ NQF Level 7 qualification in Labour Relations or Labour Law
✅ At least five years’ management experience in labour relations

The successful candidate will lead disciplinary processes, labour dispute resolution, grievance management, and policy implementation while helping strengthen ethical governance within the Department.

Deputy Director: Employment Relations

Another excellent opportunity is available for a Deputy Director: Employment Relations, offering a salary package exceeding R900,000 annually.

Ideal candidates should have:
✅ Labour Relations or Labour Law qualifications
✅ Experience in arbitration and disciplinary hearings
✅ Knowledge of labour legislation and public service procedures

This role involves managing misconduct investigations, coordinating grievance procedures, and representing the Department during labour disputes and conciliations.

Graduate Internship Programme 2026–2028

The Department has also launched its highly anticipated 24-month Graduate Internship Programme for unemployed graduates who have never participated in an internship programme before.

Successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of R8,174.78 while gaining valuable work experience in Pretoria-based offices.
