Position Overview

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Contract Duration: 5 Years
Salary Package: R1 554 696 – R1 858 821 per annum

Your Mission

As CEO, you will drive the strategic direction of the Office of the Legal Services Ombud while ensuring effective investigations, sound governance, financial accountability, and exceptional service delivery.

You will lead a team committed to protecting the public interest and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism within the legal sector.

Are You the Right Candidate?

The ideal applicant will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration, Political Science, Social Science, or a related field.
• At least five years of Senior Management experience in a legal practice environment.
• A Nyukela Certificate for Entry into the Senior Management Service.
• Strong leadership, governance, and strategic management expertise.

Candidates with postgraduate qualifications and an LLB degree will have an added advantage.

Key Areas of Responsibility

You will be responsible for:

• Guiding investigations into complaints against legal practitioners.
• Driving organisational strategy and performance.
• Strengthening governance, ethics, and anti-corruption initiatives.
• Managing stakeholder relationships and public engagement.
• Overseeing financial management and operational excellence.
• Leading human resources, supply chain, and administrative functions.
