Who Should Apply?

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must have:
✔ A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Forestry, Environmental Management, Natural Science, or a related SAQA-recognised qualification
✔ At least 3 years of relevant experience
✔ A valid driver’s license
✔ Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required

Knowledge of forestry legislation, fire management laws, environmental compliance, and the PFMA will be highly beneficial.

What Will You Be Doing?

Successful candidates will help protect South Africa’s forests and natural ecosystems through:

• Monitoring forestry legislation and fire management policies
• Reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
• Supporting forestry compliance and legal processes
• Training stakeholders such as SAPS, prosecutors, and magistrates
• Managing licensing databases and compliance systems
• Assisting landowners and Fire Protection Associations with fire prevention compliance
