Lead the Future of Small Business Development in South Africa

Opportunity 1: Director – Value Chain Support
Take the lead in driving innovative value chain development strategies that help MSMEs and co-operatives unlock new markets, improve competitiveness, and expand their participation in local and international supply chains.
As Director: Value Chain Support, you will:
- Champion enterprise growth and market access initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships across government, finance institutions, and the private sector.
- Develop programmes that strengthen value chain integration and business sustainability.
- Influence policies and interventions that create opportunities for emerging enterprises.
Requirements:
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Economics, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least five years’ management experience within a value chain support environment.
Annual Salary: R1 266 714
Opportunity 2: Director – Informal & Micro Business Development
Help shape the future of South Africa’s informal economy by leading programmes that empower informal traders and micro enterprises to grow, formalise, and access greater economic opportunities.
In this role, you will:
- Drive policy and programme development for informal business support.
- Lead initiatives focused on economic inclusion and enterprise growth.
- Build high-impact partnerships with municipalities, provincial governments, SOEs, and private-sector stakeholders.
- Strengthen support systems for entrepreneurs operating at grassroots level.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Development Finance, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years’ senior management experience in the informal business development environment.
Annual Salary: R1 266 714
