Lead Mental Health Services as Head Clinical Unit – Psychiatry

If you are a seasoned Psychiatrist ready to take on a leadership role, the Head Clinical Unit (Medical) Grade 1 – Psychiatry position offers a platform to shape mental health services at both hospital and community level.

With an annual package of up to R2.2 million, plus a 13th cheque, inhospitable area allowance, and commuted overtime, this role combines professional fulfilment with financial security. You will lead clinical governance, mentor multidisciplinary teams, drive research, and play a central role in advancing psychiatric care in the region.

Shape the Future of Child Health as a Paediatric Specialist

The Department is also recruiting a Medical Specialist in Paediatrics (Grade 1–3) to strengthen paediatric and neonatal services within the Pietermaritzburg Metropolitan Hospitals Complex.

Whether you are early in your specialist career or a highly experienced Paediatrician, graded salary packages of up to R2.2 million per annum ensure recognition of your expertise.
