What You Need to Qualify
To apply, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, BTech, or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Security Management or a related field
- A valid Grade A PSIRA certificate
- Three to five years of supervisory experience as a Senior Security Officer
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Having completed the SSA Security Advisory Course will be considered an added advantage.
The commission is looking for candidates who are:

Main Duties Include
As Assistant Director: Security Services, you will:
- Conduct security threat and risk assessments
- Develop and manage security awareness programmes
- Oversee personnel, document, information, and physical security
- Implement and review security policies
- Build partnerships with security agencies and state institutions
- Lead security staff and operational activities
Candidates should also have a solid understanding of security legislation, procedures, and modern security systems.
