High-Paying Senior Case Officer Role Available
One of the standout vacancies is the Senior Case Officer: Complaints position based in Centurion, offering a competitive annual salary of R413,001.
This opportunity is ideal for qualified legal professionals who are passionate about justice, human rights, and public service. Successful candidates will play a key role in handling inmate complaints, supervising administrative staff, and working closely with correctional officials and stakeholders.

- An LLB or BProc qualification at NQF Level 7

ICCV Vacancies Open in Multiple Provinces
JICS is also recruiting Independent Correctional Centre Visitors (ICCVs) on 36-month contracts at correctional centres across the country.
These positions are available in:
- Gauteng
- KwaZulu-Natal
- Eastern Cape
- Free State
- Limpopo
- Mpumalanga
ICCVs will help monitor prison conditions, engage with inmates, investigate complaints, and report human rights concerns within correctional facilities.
Successful candidates will earn R89,046 per year plus an additional 37% in lieu of benefits.

To qualify for ICCV positions, applicants must have:
- A Grade 12 certificate

- A recommendation letter from a recognised community organisation issued within the last six months
