Who Should Apply?

To qualify, candidates must have:

• A postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8)
• Expertise in Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, Law, Economic & Management Sciences, or related fields
• At least 10 years of senior management experience
• Strong leadership and organisational transformation experience
• Proven knowledge of governance, strategy, policy development, and financial management

Candidates with additional Labour Law or Public Law qualifications will have an added advantage.

Your Mission as Director-General

The appointed leader will play a central role in driving South Africa’s public service transformation agenda by:

• Leading policy development and implementation
• Strengthening governance and compliance systems
• Improving organisational performance and accountability
• Coordinating intergovernmental relations
