What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
✔ Leading regional and local economic development initiatives.
✔ Supporting municipalities through Integrated Development Plans (IDPs).
✔ Driving enterprise development programmes that stimulate investment, growth, and job creation.
✔ Providing expert guidance to provincial and municipal structures.
✔ Coordinating business support programmes across districts and municipalities.
✔ Facilitating access to funding and business development services for entrepreneurs and cooperatives.
✔ Managing resources and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
✔ Engaging key stakeholders and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making.
Do You Qualify?
To be considered, applicants must have:
- Matric (Senior Certificate).
- A recognised NQF Level 7 qualification in Economics, Finance, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least five years of management-level experience within economic development or enterprise development environments.
Completion of the Senior Management Service (SMS) Pre-Entry Programme through the National School of Government is mandatory before assumption of duty.
