Who Should Apply?
This role is ideal for senior executives who bring:

A Bachelor’s Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF 8) recognised by SAQA
-
10+ years of senior management experience in strategic leadership roles
-
Proven success in governance, policy implementation and institutional oversight
-
Strong knowledge of government planning, monitoring and evaluation systems
-
Familiarity with the PFMA, PSA, Treasury Regulations and broader public service framework
-
Completion of the Executive Induction Programme (required at shortlisting stage)

Your Key Impact Areas
In this influential role, you will:

Serve as Accounting Officer for the Department
-
Provide strategic leadership aligned to national priorities
-
Drive planning, monitoring and evaluation across government
-
Coordinate the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP)
-
Strengthen oversight of service delivery and public sector performance
-
Ensure robust governance, financial control and risk management
-
Lead national monitoring initiatives, including the District Development Model (DDM)
